Mountain garden features hardy and attractive alliums
The garden is located at 900 metres altitude in the highlands below the Schlernmassiv in South Tyrol, Italy. Like many rural gardens it has a kitchen garden where flowers and vegetables often grow side by side. Alliums, with their beautiful purple flowers thrive in the garden. Onions, shallots and garlic are members of the allium family but there are many ornamental alliums that bring colour and height to the perennial garden.
